We say "the right way" because too manypeople are still doing it the old way...and the old way isn't working any more! Infact, it could get your Adsense accountshut down! But we'll talk about thatlater. But first, what's the "old way"exactly? This method consisted of creatinga blog at Blogger.com and creating newposts multiple times per day. The postswould just be a link and random text takenfrom each page of your web site. That's the blogging. The pinging partwas just pinging Yahoo. There are software programs that dothis as well as some online services thatautomate the whole process. And they used to work really welltoo! So what happened? The fatal flaw isusing a Blogger account. Blogger.com isowned by Google and they are cracking downon what they call "Blog spam." Here is an email that they have beensending out to people who are blogging andpinging the old way: "We regularly reviewaccounts in the Adsense programfor compliance with our programpolicies. While reviewing youraccount, we noticed that it iscurrently not compliant withthese policies. We've found that you'vecreated a number of blogs atblogspot.com, whichviolate Blogger Termsof Service. Bloggerprohibits blogs, which are setupeither automatically or manuallyfor the purpose of directingtraffic through hyperlinks tospecific external sites. If youcontinue to create similar blogsor make similar posts atblogspot.com in the future, wemay permanently disable yourAdsenseaccount Thank you for yourunderstanding." |
That means blogging and pinging theold way can actually get your Adsenseaccount shut down!
So what's the right way to do itwithout risking your account at all? Well, inthis video we showed you how toinstall a WordPress blog on your site. Andinthis lesson we told you thatinstalling a WordPress blog on your frontpage helps even more with getting thespiders to crawl your site. The next step is to setup yourWordPress blog to ping multiple servicesevery time you create a new post. Justfollow these steps: 1. Log intoyour WordPress blog 2. Click onOptions 3. Go to"Writing" 4. Scroll to the bottom of the page You should see the "Update Services"box. This is where you tell WordPress whatservices/sites you'd like to ping everytime you create a new post. There should already be one site listedcalled pingomatic.com. Pinging that siteactually pings a handful of othersites! If all you did was leave it like this,it would still be better than the old way.Because you're not just pinging one site(Yahoo) you're pinging multiple blogs. But we can do even better thanthat! Add the following sites to your list ofUpdate Services: 1470.net/api/ping www.a2b.cc/setloc/bp.a2b api.feedster.com/ping api.moreover.com/RPC2 api.moreover.com/ping api.my.yahoo.com/RPC2 api.my.yahoo.com/rss/ping www.bitacoles.net/ping.php bitacoras.net/ping blogdb.jp/xmlrpc www.blogdigger.com/RPC2 blogmatcher.com/u.php www.blogoole.com/ping/ www.blogoon.net/ping/ www.blogpeople.net/servlet/weblogUpdates www.blogroots.com/tb_populi.blog?id=1 www.blogshares.com/rpc.php www.blogsnow.com/ping www.blogstreet.com/xrbin/xmlrpc.cgi blog.goo.ne.jp/XMLRPC bulkfeeds.net/rpc coreblog.org/ping/ www.lasermemory.com/lsrpc/ mod-pubsub.org/kn_apps/blogchatt www.mod-pubsub.org/kn_apps/blogchatter/ping.php www.newsisfree.com/xmlrpctest.php ping.amagle.com/ ping.bitacoras.com ping.blo.gs/ ping.bloggers.jp/rpc/ ping.blogmura.jp/rpc/ ping.cocolog-nifty.com/xmlrpc ping.exblog.jp/xmlrpc ping.feedburner.com ping.myblog.jp ping.rootblog.com/rpc.php ping.syndic8.com/xmlrpc.php ping.weblogalot.com/rpc.php ping.weblogs.se/ pingoat.com/goat/RPC2 www.popdex.com/addsite.php rcs.datashed.net/RPC2/ rpc.blogrolling.com/pinger/ rpc.icerocket.com:10080/ rpc.pingomatic.com/ rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping rpc.weblogs.com/RPC2 www.snipsnap.org/RPC2 trackback.bakeinu.jp/bakeping.php topicexchange.com/RPC2 www.weblogues.com/RPC/ xping.pubsub.com/ping/ xmlrpc.blogg.de/ Now you'll ping ALL those sites everytime you create a new post! Speaking of posts... what kind ofinformation should you post about? This is where our "Press ReleaseFinder" software comes in! Run the Press Release Finder and typein your keyword. Depending on what thekeyword is, you should get a lot ofresults back. Next, go to WordPress again and createa new post. Post the content from thefirst press release. But the problem is, a lot of peoplehave tens or even hundreds of Adsensesites and they can't spend all day goingto each one creating a new post everyday! When you create a new post, you canactually set a date in the future thatyou'd like it to post! So create another post with the contentfrom the next press release. But insteadof hitting Publish right away, click the"Advanced Editing" button. Change the "Edit Time" date to betomorrow's date! Go back up and click the"Publish" button. Now you can post the content from thethird press release, set the date for theday after tomorrow. Then just repeat theprocess until you think you have enoughfor now or until you run out of pressreleases. If you have a lot of press releases(some keywords give back 500 or more at atime) you could make it so there are threeposts a day instead of just one. Changethe "Edit time" to be eight hours or soapart. With this process you don't have toworry about your Adsense account beingshut down because you aren't breakingBlogger's Terms of Service. In fact, you're creating posts about relevantinformation... not random blog spam! |
